Thésée Datacenter: a French operator of sovereign data centers
Founded in 2019 and based in the western Paris region, Thésée Datacenter is a French operator specializing in premium server hosting.
Its mission is to deliver hosting services that meet the most demanding international standards for security and resilience, while guaranteeing immunity from extraterritorial legislation.
This added value translates into a comprehensive approach to infrastructure protection, designed from the outset to ensure operational excellence day after day. Thésée Datacenter therefore provides 360° protection across its hosting environments, built on four complementary pillars: infrastructure resilience, long-term data sovereignty for customers, cybersecurity, and physical site security.

2 sites under development
The company is currently developing a 50 MW campus in Aubergenville (Yvelines), which will ultimately comprise 7 buildings designed to host critical infrastructure for businesses and public-sector organizations. This campus ranks among the most ambitious data center projects in Île-de-France and is part of a digital infrastructure model governed exclusively by French and European law.
Resilience is a key differentiator for Thésée Datacenter. Unique in France, the company is one of the very few data center operators with a Tier IV certified site — the highest level of certification in existence worldwide — guaranteeing maximum service continuity and an unmatched level of civil protection.
Thésée Datacenter has made digital sovereignty a cornerstone of its commitments. Certified Gaia-X level 3, the company guarantees its clients immunity from extraterritorial laws and from any form of outside interference. Enhanced security and protection measures
Cybersecurity is built into the core of our technical architectures and operational processes to ensure the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of hosted data.
Physical protection of the sites relies on reinforced security systems, including badge readers, security airlocks (mantraps), biometric authentication for sensitive areas, video surveillance across the entire site, and an on-site security team present 24/7.
Access to IT environments is governed by seven successive levels of control between the site perimeter and the heart of the server rooms. The infrastructure complies with the most demanding standards on the market, notably ISO 27001 and HDS, with audit reports shared with clients.

A committed shareholder base
Thésée Datacenter is 100% owned by VESPER INFRASTRUCTURE, a European investment fund specializing in next-generation infrastructure.

This shareholding structure is a major strategic asset, ensuring fully European governance and complete alignment with the priorities of digital sovereignty.
Vesper Infrastructure positions itself as an investor committed to developing sustainable, innovative and strategic assets across Europe. The fund focuses primarily on clean energy, low-carbon mobility, digital infrastructure and technology solutions that address the challenges of sovereignty, performance and environmental transition.
The acquisition of Thésée Datacenter is fully aligned with this strategy and confirms Vesper Infrastructure's ambition to invest in critical digital infrastructure that serves regional economies and European digital sovereignty.
The team draws on more than 150 years of combined experience in the infrastructure sector, with most of the partners each bringing over 30 years of expertise in investing in, developing and managing complex assets.
A long-term vision
for digital infrastructure
This strategic alliance is designed to support the growth of the Thésée Datacenter campus, including the phased rollout of its 7 buildings, while setting its development on a sustainable, innovative long-term path that serves European digital sovereignty.
This operation benefits from support from the European Union under the InvestEU Fund. Furthermore, this operation is funded by the C&I Instrument under the RRF Regulation with the financial backing of the Kingdom of Spain and co-financed under European Union funds pertaining to the National Recovery and Resilience Plan for Spain.

Our data center colocation offersWho is Thésée Datacenter and what is its mission?
Thésée Datacenter is a French digital infrastructure provider committed to building a sovereign, secure, and sustainable digital ecosystem. Our mission is to deliver trusted infrastructure designed to meet the requirements of the most sensitive organizations in terms of availability, security, and control over their data. Through our business model and our sites, we help build a resilient, long-lasting French digital infrastructure.
What vision does Thésée Datacenter have for the future of digital infrastructure?
Thésée Datacenter champions a critical yet controlled approach to digital infrastructure: facilities hosted in France, governed exclusively by French and European law, built to absorb the growing needs of businesses and public-sector organizations over the long term. The Aubergenville campus embodies this ambition, with a phased build-out reaching 50 MW across seven buildings, delivered in 5 to 10 MW modules to support demand over the coming decade. This trajectory rests on fully European ownership, held by Vesper Infrastructure, whose strategy specifically targets digital infrastructure that is strategic to the continent's sovereignty. For Thésée Datacenter, the future of digital infrastructure sits at the intersection of three requirements: infrastructure resilience, independence from foreign law, and an ambitious environmental trajectory.
What sets Thésée Datacenter apart from other players in the market?
Several concrete elements set Thésée Datacenter apart. The company is one of the few French operators with a site certified Tier IV by the Uptime Institute, the highest level of certification that exists, guaranteeing full fault tolerance. It is also among the first five companies to earn the Gaia-X level 3 label, public proof of its sovereignty. Its approach combines four complementary pillars : infrastructure resilience, data sovereignty, cybersecurity, and physical protection (seven levels of access control, biometrics, round-the-clock surveillance), rather than focusing on just one of these dimensions. Its two sites in the Paris region, 30 km apart and linked by a private network of 144 dark fibers, allow critical workloads to be distributed while staying within France. Finally, it delivers one of the best PUEs on the market (target below 1.2), allowing it to offer Tier IV-level protection at prices below standard Paris-market rates. This combination has won the trust of groups such as Outscale, France Télévisions, Radio France, France Médias Monde, and TV5 Monde.
What commitments has Thésée Datacenter made on sovereignty and sustainability?
On sovereignty: fully European ownership (Vesper Infrastructure), governance and infrastructure governed exclusively by French and European law, the Gaia-X level 3 label, and the CISPE sovereignty badge at "Declared" level, together guaranteeing immunity from extraterritorial legislation such as the US Cloud Act.
On sustainability: a design PUE below 1.2 (roughly 35% less energy than existing data centers), achieved through indirect free cooling and adiabatic evaporation; membership in the Climate Neutral Data Centre Pact (targets of PUE 1.3 and 0.4 L of water per kWh); ISO 50001 certification (energy management, valid until March 2027); a carbon trajectory targeting a 50% reduction in emissions by 2030 and 95% by 2050 (ADEME methodology, SBTi-aligned); a zero-waste policy on electrical equipment; biodiversity initiatives on campus (beehives, eco-grazing with sheep); a waste-heat recovery project; and ISO 14001 certification targeted for the second half of 2026.
